A profile of McLaren Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton
Hamilton and Massa's troubled history
BBC COMMENTATOR MARTIN BRUNDLE'S VIEW
"Lewis Hamilton has been a contender for the world title in three of his five F1 seasons which tells you everything you need to know about his speed and ability.
"He can light up any track with his raw speed and audacious moves. When they work they are breathtaking, when they don't there are bodywork-crunching moments which incur the wrath of the stewards.
"His personal life seems to have been even more of a distraction in 2011.
"When he's on form, such as at the Nurburgring, he is unbeatable and he's lost absolutely none of his talent.
"Lack of focus and too many incidents have seen another championship slip past. To finish first, first you must finish."
