McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton plans to avoid another crash with Ferrari's Felipe Massa in Sunday's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix — by leaving him for dust on the track.

Formula 1 chief executive Bernie Ecclestone has claimed there was "no chance" of Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs opening an investigation into his complex financial affairs, insisting that he had nothing to fear from his turn over the next two days as the star witness in Germany's biggest post-war corruption trial.

Williams have announced that the team will run their reserve driver Valtteri Bottas and reigning Formula Two champion Mirko Bortolotti during the young driver test days in Abu Dhabi which starts on 15 November.

McLaren team principal Martin Whitmarsh says that Englishman Oliver Turvey, part of the team's young driver programme, will "probably" get a run at the young driver test next week, alongside reserve driver Gary Paffett. "The focus will be on giving him a bit more exposure to F1 and for people to be aware of him," Whitmarsh told a news conference. "On the technical level we have a quite ambitious programme with (tyre supplier) Pirelli."

Derek Warwick makes his fourth appearance as an FIA driver steward at this weekend's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, having previously fulfilled this role at the Spanish and Hungarian Grands Prix last year and at this year's Turkish GP. Warwick, 57, who lives in the Channel Islands, raced in 146 grands prix, from 1981 to 1993, for Toleman, Renault, Brabham, Arrows and Lotus.
