Jaguar boss appeals to buyers
Jaguar are in talks with the Red Bull soft drink company
Jaguar chief David Pitchforth says prospective buyers would be investing in a "potentially great" team.

Owner Ford has put the outfit up for sale and Jaguar have until 15 November to find a buyer and submit their entry to the sport's governing body, the FIA.

Pitchforth said: "This is a good team, potentially a great one, and the staff are one of the strongest assets.

"We are confident Jaguar Racing and our sister company Cosworth Racing will prove extremely attractive to buyers."

Discussions are underway with several potential buyers, including the Red Bull soft drink company, but the team are still some way from finding an investor that can ensure Jaguar take their place on the grid next season.

Pitchforth continued: "We have a fantastic group of people working inside Jaguar Racing and their response to the announcement that the team is to be sold has been nothing less than outstanding."

Jaguar's star driver Mark Webber has already agreed to join Williams at the end of the season.

Ford announced its decision to end its involvement with F1 in September.
