Jenson Button believes he will have a good race in Hungary this weekend, despite the ongoing row over his decision to leave BAR next season.

Button, whose team are disputing his right to race for Williams in 2005, said the Hungarian Grand Prix would be the closest race of the year.

The British driver said: "It's not going to be the easiest weekend of my life, is it?

"But I've got a job to do and I'm very much looking forward to it."

Button is currently third in the drivers' standings behind Ferrari's reigning world champion Michael Schumacher and his team-mate Rubens Barrichello.

"It will be so competitive here, more than any other race," Button said.

"The Renaults will be strong, like they were last year and the McLarens have also been strong over the last few races. It should be very exciting."

Both parties have said a lot in the press - maybe we've said too much
Jenson Button on his dispute with BAR

Button believes the hot and dusty Hungaroring gives Ferrari's rivals their best chance of the year to beat Michael Schumacher, who has won all but one of the 12 races so far this year.

"The car is going to work very well here, I think," he said. "And the team are very positive, the same as I am.

"I'm going to give 100% this weekend, as I always do and hopefully we're looking at another good race like in Hockenheim but starting a bit further up the grid."

Button finished second at the German Grand Prix three weeks ago after starting 13th following a 10-place penalty for changing his engine.

"We want to do the best we can. That's my view and the team have the same view I have."

Button refused to make any comment on the position surrounding the dispute over his contract for 2005.

"Both parties [himself and BAR] have said a lot in the press. Maybe we've said too much. And that's it for now."
