Organisers of the Southern 100 International Road Races have announced that Cameron Donald will compete at the 2010 event.

The Australian rider made history in 2006 when he emulated the late Joey Dunlop by winning the Solo Championship at his first attempt.

Race secretary George Peach said: "He certainly thrilled the crowds last time out. He will be a definite contender."

The popular Billown meeting gets underway on Monday 12 July.
