Full-time: Australia 29-23 Lions

85 mins: Lions have one last attack and come so close but the ball goes dead and the whistle ends the match. Australia win the series 2-1.

82 mins: Lions win a penalty and Wilkinson puts it into the corner. Big lineout coming but Harrison steals the ball from Johnson and Walker clears.

80 mins: Frustration from the Lions sees them give away another penalty at a ruck and Burke has a chance to stretch the lead, which he does.
Australia 29-23 Lions

79 mins: Australia are keeping it tight and running the clock down. Lions can't get their hands on the ball.

76 mins: Back gets a warning for hands in the ruck but no yellow card. Will be next time though. Australia take lineout and hammer away at the Lions' line.

74 mins: Lions read the set move well and George Smith goes over the top to give the penalty to the Lions. Morris and Balshaw on for Tom Smith and James.

72 mins: Roff chips ahead but James does well to gather, although the Lions wing has to concede the five-metre scrum.

68 mins: Lions penned back in their 22 and infringe at their own lineout after opting to throw to the back. Pressure penalty for Burke but he produces the goods.
Australia 26-23 Lions

63 mins: Lions have a scrum in the Wallaby 22 and that man advantage in the backs. But O'Driscoll drops the ball and Australia win the scrum. Man advantage gone as Herbert returns from the sin-bin.

60 mins: Lions maul upfield and despite good work from George Smith, who is stealing a lot of Lions ball, the tourists eventually win a penalty. Wilkinson misses the kick though.

58 mins: Lions give away a penalty for infringing but Moore stamps all over Back after the whistle has gone and referee O'Brien reverses the penalty. Moore gets away with a warning.

52 mins: Horrendous high tackle by Herbert on O'Driscoll earns the Wallaby centre a yellow card. Wilkinson adds insult to injury by slotting the resulting penalty. Scores all square.
Australia 23-23 Lions

49 mins: Australia hit back and create an overlap from close in on the left for Herbert's second try. Burke makes the conversion
Australia 23-20 Lions

47 mins: Charvis takes a quick lineout to himself, gets clear of the tackler but then kicks it, poorly, back to Australia. Australia win a penalty and opt for a lineout but the Lions stand firm and win themselves a scrum.

43 mins: Lions make a storming start, hammering into the Australians and the gaps appear for Wilkinson to dart over. Adds the conversion as well
Australia 16-20 Lions

41 mins: Match restarts but Lions have made a change with Charvis coming on for Quinnell.

Half-time: Australia 16-13 Lions

46 mins: Lots of injury time and the Lions hit back and show they can play just as well. Australian defence holds firm but gives away a penalty under pressure. Wilkinson converts all the hard work into three points as the whistle goes for half-time.
Australia 16-13 Lions

40 mins: Australia score a fine try through Herbert after keeping the ball alive and some good inter-passing. Burke makes the conversion.
Australia 16-10 Lions

39 mins: Lions again get penalised for hands in the ruck and Burke gets another easy chance. Unbelievably slides it across the face of the posts.

38 mins: Roff holds onto the ball on the deck with Johnson all over him and Wilkinson kicks to touch. Lions start a maul but Australia pull it down and Wilkinson gets a chance for three points but pulls it right of the posts.

34 mins: Lions called for a stray boot in a collapsed scrum. Guilty party not identified but Burke hits the post with the penalty.

30 mins: Roff bursts down the wing but Robinson is over and shackles him well. Lions turn the ball over and George Smith gives away a penalty for offside. Lions back into Australia territory.

27 mins: Lions playing sensibly and keeping the ball more but they're under pressure in the lineouts and Australia move up to the Lions 22.

23 mins: Lions turn the ball over after Kefu gathers from the restart. Gregan infringes and Wilkinson lines up a kick from the halfway line but it goes just wide.

20 mins: And they do! Australia under all sorts of pressure but Dawson switches the line of attack to the blindside and Robinson scorches over in the left corner. Wilkinson makes a superb conversion.
Australia 9-10 Lions

18 mins: Walker spills a kick and the Lions feed Robinson for a little run. Lions win a five-metre scrum and must make something of this.

16 mins: Quinnell is penalised for holding on in the tackle and Burke makes his third kick. A bit of afters between Harrison and Johnson.
Australia 9-3 Lions

13 mins: Play is called back for an infringment at the restart. Grewcock buried his knee into Stiles' back and is lucky he wasn't carded.

11 mins: An exchange of kicks leads to the Lions giving away a penalty for going over the top at a ruck. Burke takes on the long penalty kick from the left and slots it.
Australia 6-3 Lions

6 mins: Henderson chips through and is cynically taken out with a trip. Penalty awarded and Wilkinson levels the scores.
Australia 3-3 Lions

4 mins: Flatley flattened by Wilkinson but eventually gets up and Australia have a scrum.

3 mins: Harrison makes an early mark by stealing Lions lineout ball and the Lions give away a penalty. Burke steps up and makes no mistake.
Australia 3-0 Lions

Kick-off: Walker kicks-off and Wood secures it for the Lions who try to run it from their 22. Ball spilled but Australia infringe.

Pre-match news: Healey withdraws through injury, so Dafydd James is back on the right wing. Scotland's Andy Nicol is a surprise call-up to the squad and Test bench as scrum-half cover, with Mark Taylor making way.
