Skinns misses out on PGA Tour cut

Lincoln golfer David Skinns failed to secure on a place on the US PGA tour after competing at the qualifying school in La Quinta, California.

Over six rounds Skinns, 26, shot a three-over-par total of 435 to finish 154th in a field of 161.

It left him 22 strokes off the pace, with only those level with or above 25th place qualifying for the tour.

In 2008 Skinns was player of the year and top money-earner on the American NGA ProTour, winning three events.
