Sweden's Annika Sorenstam fired a third-round 66 to lead Korea's Gloria Park by four shots at the Samsung World Championship at Bighorn, California.

Sixteen-year-old Michelle Wie, playing in her first professional tournament, carded a 71 and is five shots off the lead in third.

Scotland's Catriona Matthew, who also shot 71, is one shot further back.

Overnight leader Grace Park of Korea shot a 76 while American rookie Paula Creamer had a disappointing 73.

"I'm really pleased with my position," said Sorenstam.

"It was a very solid round and now I'm just looking forward to a great Sunday.

"Local knowledge really helps and I've also got great memories of my win here last year."

Wie started by three-putting the second and third in a par, bogey, double-bogey start, but salvaged her round with four birdies.

"I started off playing stupid but got smart on the back nine," she said.

"I'm pleased I managed to bring it round and that I'm still in contention. I didn't really play very well today, but hopefully tomorrow will be better."
