Chris Riley's tied fourth at the USPGA at Whistling Straits lifted him into the final Ryder Cup qualifying spot.
The 30-year-old makes his Cup debut at Oakland Hills after edging ahead of Steve Flesch in the table.
Riley has been solid if not spectacular in the last couple of years but has climbed steadily up the rankings.
His only victory on Tour so far has come at the Reno-Tahoe Open in 2002, while his best finish this season was second at the Buick Invitational.
Did you know? Chris Riley was on the same Walker Cup team as a young Tiger Woods in 1995.
