England 4-1 Czech Republic
A brace from Rachel Unitt helped England to a 4-1 win over the Czech Republic in their pre-European Championship friendly.

A first-half header from Gabriela Chlumcka gave the visitors the lead at the Bescot Stadium.

England fought back in the second-half when Unitt headed home to equalise, and they then went ahead thanks to a 40-yard lob from Kelly Smith.

Unitt added her second before Eniloa Aluka scored with an 18-yard effort.

England's head coach Hope Powell was left scratching her head as to why England had failed to perform in the opening 45 minutes.

"The first half was just flat, lifeless, lethargic," she said.

"The strange thing was that the players themselves knew how how downbeat it was but we couldn't really put a finger on why.

"It was all very bizarre so I was very pleased to get to half-time and change things around."
