Glovers boss Skiverton says he anticipates further signings
Yeovil Town have signed Reading's teenage goalkeeper Alex McCarthy on loan until January.
The 19-year-old played the first hour of Yeovil's pre-season friendly against Derby County on Tuesday.
McCarthy has come through Reading's academy system and has played on loan at Woking, Cambridge United, Team Bath and Aldershot.
"He's got the longest kick we've seen down here in a long while," manager Terry Skiverton told the club website.
Yeovil have signed seven players this summer, and are expected to conclude deals for another goalkeeper and former Tranmere midfielder George O'Callaghan.
And Skiverton says his recruitment may not end there.
"There's a lot of people now who are getting to the stage where they might have been out of our price bracket a month ago, but are coming around to our way of thinking and are desperate to play football," he told BBC Somerset.
