Broughton ready for Dragons clash
Drewe Broughton celebrates scoring the winning penalty for MK Dons against Swansea
Drewe Broughton is a wanted man
Drewe Broughton is set for his third game in four days after his move from MK Dons to Wrexham was completed.

The 29-year-old striker has returned for a second loan spell at Wrexham and has been cleared to play in clash with Peterborough on Tuesday.

He captained Wrexham in their draw with Grimsby on Saturday but returned to MK Dons after his loan expired.

Broughton then starred in MK Dons' win over Swansea in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy area final on Monday.

Broughton hit the decisive penalty shoot-out kick to seal a trip to Wembley but within 24 hours he was back in Wrexham for another month spell.

Broughton said: "I haven't played two games in two days since under-12 days!

"It has been a whirlwind few days but I'm prepared."

Dons boss Paul Ince has given his permission to Wrexham's request for Broughton to return to the Racecourse for another month's loan.

Broughton, who impressed Dragons boss Brian Little during his previous month, has driven from Milton Keynes to sign on.

Wrexham has received official clearance from MK Dons, The Football League, The FA and the Football Association of Wales.

Broughton's second month long loan spell at Wrexham is set to end just before MK Dons' Johnstone's Trophy final on March 30.

And the striker could return to his parent club and make a Wembley appearance.

Broughton's return is a boost for Wrexham as League Two's bottom club are struggling in the striking department as Neil Roberts and Eifion Williams are injured.

  • Wrexham have re-arranged their postponed fixture with the MK Dons at the Stadium MK for Tuesday 8 April (1945 GMT).

The original match was called off at short notice earlier this month because of a frozen pitch.
