Camara joins Wigan in 3m switch
Henri Camara
A fee had been agreed but Camara's demands were excessive
Wigan have finally signed Henri Camara for 3m on a three-year deal after the Wolves striker compromised over his wage demands.

Last week Wigan boss Paul Jewell had said his interest in the Senegalese international, 28, was "dead" because of his excessive personal demands.

Jewell told the club's website: "Henri has signed his contract and passed his medical. It's great news for us.

"He's a proven scorer and has produced the goods at the highest level."

Camara played for Wolves in the Premiership but spent last season on loan at Celtic and Southampton after saying he did not want to play outside the top flight.

The transfer, which breaks Wigan's transfer record of 2m paid for Jason Roberts, is expected to be officially completed on Monday.

Camara cost Wolves 1.5m from French club Sedan two years ago.
