New Wigan signing Emerson Thome
Thome has also had spells at Chelsea and Sunderland
Wigan have signed former Chelsea defender Emerson Thome following his departure from Bolton.

The 32-year-old centre-back has agreed a two-year deal at the JJB Stadium.

"I'm really pleased to get my future sorted and I'm delighted to sign for Wigan after the interest they've shown in me," Thome told the Wigan website.

Thome, who has also played for Sunderland and Sheffield Wednesday, made 26 appearances in the Premiership during his one-season stay with Bolton.
