Zdrilic exits Walsall
Australia striker David Zdrilic
Zdrilic would have liked more first-team opportunities
David Zdrilic has rejected a new contract from Walsall and has left the Bescot Stadium club.

The 29-year-old striker was offered a deal for next season by boss Colin Lee but has elected to try and find new employers.

Australian-born Zdrilic joined the Saddlers from German side FC Unteraching last summer and made 10 starts and 19 further substitute appearances, scoring five times.

"David's goals-to-games ratio wasn't too bad," said Lee.

"However, a combination of injury and the form of Jorge Leitao and Junior has meant that he hasn't been involved in the first-team as much as he would have liked this season," Lee added on the club's website.
