Tranmere swoop for Beresford
Tranmere Rovers manager Brian Little has made his first signing after taking David Beresford from Plymouth on a free transfer.

The 27 year-old winger previously played under Little at Hull.

Beresford started his career at Oldham before moving to Huddersfield for 350,000.

"I'm delighted to have signed David again. He fits the bill for the wide player I've been looking for," the Rovers boss told his club's website.

"His speed and positional sense will be a great asset to the club," added Little.

Beresford added: "I'm looking forward to working with Brian again - it's great to sign for Tranmere - a big club with lots of potential to do well."
