Telford miss out on Doolan
Telford United manager Jake King will manage with his existing squad after missing out in a move for Barnet midfielder John Doolan.

King has been a long-standing of Doolan and had lined up an approach for the 28-year-old.

However, the former Mansfield Town player opted to join Nationwide Conference promotion hopefuls Doncaster Rovers.

"I think he's a good player and I wanted him for next season," said King.

"I was ready to have talks with him but he went to Doncaster instead."

King's small squad is set for a mid-table finish and the manager is already looking to next season when the Bucks will revert to full-time status for all but the summer months.

"If there are quality players available you want to try and get them now, but there is no rush.

"There are going to be a lot of good players around in the summer," King added.
