Opara quits Swindon
Lloyd Opara
Opara was unhappy with life at Swindon
Striker Lloyd Opara has left Swindon Town by mutual consent after failing to settle with the League One side.

Andy King signed the pacy forward from Grays in the summer but Opara played only once for the Robins after failing to adjust to life outside London.

"I just found it hard to settle down here," he told the Swindon website.

"If I wasn't happy off the field then I couldn't go on the pitch and give it my all. The gaffer is a top man and understood my position brilliantly."

Opara is now hopeful of finding another club back in London and said he was sorry to be leaving the County Ground.

"It's a great club to be at but I just couldn't settle," Opara said.

He added: "For me now, it is a case of moving back to London and seeing what is in the pipeline."
