Teenage striker Louis Moult is desperate to play more Premier League games for Stoke City before the end of the season.

Local boy Moult has made three substitute appearances for the Potters this season and told BBC Radio Stoke he is enjoying first-team action.

"I was born two miles away from here, and it means a lot to me to put on that strip," said the 17-year-old.

"It was a dream come true even just to get five minutes at Burnley."

The youngster from Penkhull made his professional debut in a Carling Cup tie at Leyton Orient in August, and came off the bench again in Stoke's exit from the competition at Portsmouth two months later.

Moult made his Premier League debut in February, coming on in the 1-1 draw against Burnley at Turf Moor.

"When I was 16 trying to get my scholarship, I was looking at the players and thinking that's where I wanted to be," added Moult.

"Just to see them, the way they play and the way the fans react to them, it's what I want to do."
