Stoke City defender Lewis Buxton will start pre-season training early after recovering from a long-term injury.
The 23-year-old started just one match last season and underwent an operation on his troublesome back in February.
"I'm due back 10 days before the others because I need to build up my sprinting," he told the Sentinel.
"Last season really was a nightmare. I played just one game and was only fit for three others. I just want to put that behind me now and push on."
