Stockport County have completed the signing of former Sheffield United winger Owen Morrison.

The Northern Ireland Under-21 international has signed a two-year contract at Edgeley Park after refusing a new deal with the Blades.

And Morrison immediately revealed his ambitions for Carlton Palmer's side.

"I'm a winger and I'm direct. I love dribbling and I hope my style will get the fans out of their seats," Morrison said.

"I'm here to play as much football as I can and to help County reach the play-offs and get promotion," he told the club's official website.

Meanwhile, the club are have agreed a one-year contract to sign former Everton and Tranmere striker Stuart Barlow.

Barlow has been on trial at Edgeley Park during pre-season after being released by Tranmere at the end of last term.

The 35-year old will put pen to paper on a 12-month deal with Carlton Palmer's side but must recover from a slight thigh strain first.

"It's nothing serious, but I wanted to show the boss that I'm 100% when I have the medical," Barlow said.

"I'll get some treatment and hopefully I'll be okay in a couple of days.

"I've really enjoyed my time here. The lads are a great bunch and they've made me feel very welcome," he told the club's website.
