Wednesday swoop for striker Quinn

Wednesday have a great chance of promotion
James Quinn
Sheffield Wednesday have signed Northern Ireland striker James Quinn until the end of the season.

Quinn, 30, was released by Dutch side Willem II last week and is boss Paul Sturrock's first permanent signing.

"A Championship club were offering me 18 months but Wednesday are flying near the top of League One," he said.

"I think they've got a great chance of promotion. I wouldn't say I'm fit enough for the English game yet but that should come quickly enough."
