Scunthorpe sign striker
Rangers striker Tom Brighton
Scunthorpe United have signed Rangers striker Tom Brighton on loan.

The 20-year-old, who scored for the Scottish giants in a pre-season friendly at Glanford Park, will stay until the January transfer window.

"He could be even better than Steve MacLean, who we had on loan from Rangers last season," Iron boss Brian Laws told BBC Radio Humberside.

MacLean scored 25 goals for Scunthorpe last season, while Brighton joined the Ibrox club as a youngster.

Laws' side are top of League Two after taking 14 points from their first six games - including Monday's 2-0 victory over Northampton.
