Laws wants to sort out his squad for next season
Scunthorpe United boss Brian Laws has offered new contracts to eight of his squad which lost out in the play-off semi-finals.

Highly-rated defenders Andy Dawson and Nathan Stanton have both been offered three-year deals.

There have been 12-month contracts tabled for veteran winger Peter Beagrie, Ian Kilford, Martin Carruthers, Terry Barwick, Andy Parton and Andy Butler.

James Cotterill and Richard Kell have been released, although Laws has invited Kell back for pre-season as he continues his recovery from a broken leg.

"I am confident most of the players will sign new deals, although I may lose one or two, in particular Andy Dawson, who I think may go elsewhere.

"But I haven't had that confirmed yet," Laws told the club's official website.

The players offered new deals have until the end of the month to decide whether to accept.
