Foyle impresses Matthews
New Port Vale signing Lee Matthews says the prospect of playing under Martin Foyle helped persuade him to move to Vale Park from Bristol City.

The 25-year-old has signed a two-year contract after passing a medical.

"It was Martin that swayed my decision to sign. He really impressed me with the way he`wants to work with the strikers," he told BBC Radio Stoke.

Matthews' arrival is set to coincide with striker Stephen McPhee leaving Vale to join Beira Mar of Portugal.
