Vale wait on injured four
Port Vale are hopeful a quartet of injured players will be back in action for the top-of-the table clash with Barnsley.

Michael Walsh, Marc Bridge-Wilkinson and Steve McPhee all face late fitness tests, and the club has not ruled out a dramatic return to action for Michael Cummins.

Cummins was expected to be sidelined for up to three more weeks with a knee injury, but has taken part in light training to give him an outside chance of making the Barnsley game.

Bridge-Wilkinson and Walsh missed last Saturday's draw with Stockport with a slight knee injury and abdominal strain respectively while McPhee was forced out at half-time with a heel injury.
