Coach Tommy Johnson exits Notts County

Notts County have parted company with first-team coach Tommy Johnson, reports BBC Radio Nottingham.

Johnson becomes the third high-profile departure from Meadow Lane in just over a fortnight following the sacking of both Craig Short and David Kevan.

Former Notts striker Johnson returned to Meadow Lane three years ago in a coaching capacity.

But the 39-year-old has been on the touchline for just two games under new manager Paul Ince.

Johnson, who also played for Derby, Aston Villa and Celtic, starred in two promotion successes for the Magpies in the 1990s and scored in both Wembley play-off finals.
