Notts County bag Sam Sodje, Thomas Ince & Stephen Darby

Notts County manager Paul Ince has made his first signings since taking over last week, including the arrival of his own teenage son Thomas from Liverpool.

Ince, 18, and defender Stephen Darby, 22, both come on two-month loan deals.

And Sam Sodje, 31, who was a free agent after leaving Greek side Xanthi in the summer, has signed a deal until 2012.

The Nigeria international had two weeks on trial with Sheffield Wednesday last month but no deal could be struck as the Owls are under a transfer embargo.

Sodje began his career in non-league football at Stevenage and Margate, before being signed by Brentford in May 2005.

He was then signed by Reading for £350,000 in June 2007, but made just eight appearances for the Royals in three years, being loaned out to West Bromwich Albion, Charlton Athletic, Watford and Leeds United.

Sodje was then signed by Charlton on a more permanent footing in September 2009, helping them to last season's League One play-offs before joining Xanthi this summer.

As for County's two new loan signings, Darby has now made seven Liverpool appearances since making his debut in Madrid's Vicente Calderon Stadium in a Champions League clash two years ago.

He also spent the final three months of last season on loan with Danny Wilson's Swindon Town.

Ince made his Liverpool debut as an extra time substitute in the Carling Cup defeat to Northampton Town at Anfield in September.
