Norwich finalise Earnshaw switch
Robert Earnshaw
Earnshaw started his career with Cardiff
Norwich have completed the 3.5m signing of West Bromwich Albion's Wales striker Robert Earnshaw.

The 24-year-old Welsh international completed his transfer an hour before the deadline - signing a three-and-a-half year deal.

Earnshaw has started just four Premiership games for Albion this year.

And he told the club website: "This is a new chapter in my life to enjoy. I just want to go out there and enjoy my football, it's as simple as that."

Earnshaw returns to the division where he scored 52 goals in two seasons with Cardiff before his move to the Baggies.

And the forward is keen to find that form again with the Canaries.

He said: "I've always scored goals. I've always scored when I've been playing and I just hope it carries on.

"Norwich have given me that chance and I'm looking forward to the rest of the season."

Boss Nigel Worthington spoke of his relief at signing the Welshman.

"He is a great capture for the football club and I'm delighted to get him," he said.

"We needed someone of that calibre to push us on. Hopefully he will do his job and score goals and it's up to the others to work hard and create for him."

Earnshaw started his career at Cardiff but moved to The Hawthorns for a fee of 3.5m in August 2004.

He is Norwich's third signing of the day, following the loan captures of Zesh Rehman and Jonatan Johansson.
