Abbey offered short deal
Norwich are ready to give injury-hit striker Zema Abbey three months from the start of the new season to prove he is worth a longer-term contract.

Abbey missed most of the promotion campaign with a serious knee injury.

Boss Nigel Worthington said: "We wanted to show him loyalty and give him the chance to prove himself following the three difficult years he has had here.

"We have made the offer to him, now Zema will take time to think it over so he makes the right decision."
