Richards reveals relief
Northampton striker Marc Richards
Marc Richards has revealed his relief at finally netting his first league goal for Northampton Town.

The 21-year-old scored the winner in the 2-1 win at Darlington on Tuesday.

Richards, who has missed a string of chances and hit the woodwork in recent games, says he is delighted to break his league duck.

"As the games have gone on there's been quite a bit of pressure on my shoulders, mainly from myself," said Richards.

He added: "I know I can do it, I know I can score goals. Now it's a massive relief."

The win takes Colin Calderwood's men to within six points of the Divison Three play-off places.
