Mansfield agree Jelleyman terms
Gareth Jelleyman
Jelleyman had already been on loan at Mansfield
Mansfield have snapped up Peterborough defender Gareth Jelleyman.

Peteborough manager Barry Fry gave the 24-year-old the all-clear to leave the club on a free as his contract was due to expire at the end of the season.

And Mansfield boss Carlton Palmer told the club's official website: "I'm always on the lookout for new players to improve the team.

"And we have proved with the Gareth Jelleyman deal you sometimes have to be a bit patient."

Jelleyman has been on a short-term loan deal at Mansfield but, after the 1-1 draw with Southend, was handed an 18-month contract at Field Mill.

The player, though, has been plagued by injuries in the build-up to the deal.
