Askey to lose Macclesfield job
Macclesfield Town's assistant manager John Askey has been told that he will lose his job at the end of the season.

Financial problems mean Macclesfield are looking to cut costs and Askey has been given six months' notice that his contract will be terminated.

But boss Brian Horton said he hopes another role can be found for him.

Askey has been at Moss Rose for 22 years, firstly as a striker then in a coaching role, briefly operating as first team boss in the 2003/04 season.
