Widdrington extends stay
Macclesfield Town's Tommy Widdrington has signed a one-year contract extension at Moss Rose.

The 32-year-old midfielder has also been named as club captain by Macc boss Brian Horton, who was also Widdrington's manager at Port Vale.

Widdrington started 38 games for the Silkmen last season, after joining from Hartlepool in August.

Born in Newcastle, he began his career at Southampton, before spells with Grimsby, Port Vale and Hartlepool.
