Kilmarnock say they are hoping to extend the contracts of midfielders Danny Invincibile and James Fowler.

Australian Invincibile is expected to sign a new deal within days and the club are in talks with Fowler.

Meanwhile, Donovan Simmonds has extended his loan spell with the Rugby Park club from Coventry City until the end of the season.

However, the English striker is due to undergo an operation which is likely to keep him out of action for a month.

Manager Jim Jefferies is hoping to added another striker to his squad during the January transfer window.

Midfielder Jamie Adams, who is also set for an operation, and goalkeeper Cameron Bell have returned to Ayrshire having completed loan spells with Queen of the South.

Alan Morgan's loan at St Johnstone has come to an end but Killie have made the midfielder available for transfer, either on loan or on a permanent basis.

The club have decided against extending the contracts of both Chad Harpur and Rhian Dodds and David Cox has been released.

First-choice goalkeeper Alan Combe last week extended his contract with Kilmarnock until 2011, with the option of a further year.
