Mowbray denies title credentials
Mowbray was delighted by his team's win
Hibernian manager Tony Mowbray was quick to reject suggestions that victory over Rangers indicates his side are now championship contenders.

"I am just delighted to keep ticking along fine," he said after they moved to within four points of Celtic.

"As we saw last week against Falkirk and against Dunfermline in the cup, we can lose games as well.

"But the first 30 minutes was perhaps the best we have played since I took over at the club."

Mowbray said that his strategy was designed not to let Rangers build on their heartening midweek draw away to Porto in the Champions League.

"We tried to put them on the back foot and hope that their fragile confidence would erode pretty quickly," he said.

"We were moving the ball around well and creating chances.

"Now we need to play like that week in, week out.

"The biggest testament to the players is that no-one could talk after that game because they were all so tired and they were tripping over their tongues."
