Jarvis set for hernia operation
Gillingham winger Matt Jarvis will finally have surgery on Thursday on a long-standing hernia problem.

The 18-year-old recently postponed the operation because the club had a number of players carrying injuries.

Gills coach Iwan Roberts told BBC Radio Kent: "Matt's had a problem with a hernia for a few weeks, and I had one when I was his age and it's not easy.

"You put painkillers down you, but he played through the pain barrier for the club and that is a credit to him."
