Owers considers move for Savage
Forest Green Rovers boss Gary Owers has been impressed by trialist Bas Savage and is likely to offer him a deal.

The 23-year-old striker was released by Reading at the end of the season and scored the winner in Saturday's win over a Bristol City reserve side.

Owers told BBC Radio Gloucestershire: "Bas was excellent and at over six foot tall causes people problems but he's also good with the ball at his feet.

"I've been chasing him for a few weeks and it's good to have Bas with us."
