Daish vows not to quit Ebbsfleet

Ebbsfleet United boss Liam Daish insists he will not quit Stonebridge Road despite his side's dismal start to the season.

The Fleet are currently second from bottom in the the Blue Square Premier with only one win all season.

"I'm not a quitter," Daish told BBC Radio Kent. "I think there have been too many quitters around this club.

"Since winning the trophy, people have come in, it's not been for them and they've just ducked out."

"I'm not prepared to do that - unless someone tells me different," said Daish.

The former Republic of Ireland international, who won the FA Trophy with Ebbsfleet in 2008, admitted his side face a real battle to get out of relegation trouble.

"The team that's the most honest and the most workmanlike, the one that's willing to scrap and roll their sleeves up and put themselves on the line for the cause - that'll be the side that will pull free," he said.

"There's no science to it, it'll be the team that will pull together and work hard for each other as a unit."
