Doolan close to Rovers move
Doncaster Rovers are poised to sign Barnet midfielder John Doolan in a bid to strengthen their promotion challenge.

Doolan was due to undergo a medical at Belle Vue on Wednesday after the two Nationwide Conference clubs had agreed a five-figure fee for the 28-year-old.

Doolan has made 199 appearances for Barnet since joining the club for 60,000 from Mansfield Town in January, 1998.

The former Everton trainee had previously started 128 League games for the Stags and is a long-standing target for Rovers boss Dave Penney.

Barnet finally accepted an improved offer for Doolan and he could now make his debut for second-placed Doncaster against Woking on Saturday.
