Dagenham & Redbridge loan defender Mark Arber is keen to make his stay at the League Two club a permanent one.
The 30-year-old spent the last part of the season on loan from Stevenage but will be a free agent at the end of May and is keen to stay at Victoria Road.
He told BBC Essex: "I'd like to repay the faith and stay at this football club and hopefully that will happen.
"We're not a million miles away and hopefully I'll be a Dagenham & Redbridge player for next season."
During his second loan spell with the club Arber has played 16 times in the Daggers' successful battle to stay in League Two for a second season.

My mum and dad live down the road in Barking so it's a local club to me

The central defender admitted it has been extra special to play a part in that achievement.
"It's nice to come and see some old faces," he said. "My mum and dad live down the road in Barking so it's a local club to me and I've always looked out for their results.
"So not only is it a personal achievement, it's also a great achievement for a club that deserves that little bit of success and League Two football next season."
