Gabor Gyepes believes Cardiff City need to just keep doing what they are doing if they are to beat Swansea City in this Sunday's south Wales derby.

The Bluebirds climbed to the top of the Championship after Saturday's 3-1 win over Norwich City.

It was Cardiff's fifth straight win in the league and they are now unbeaten in seven games.

"We just need to keep going. It's important that we keep doing our jobs, and we'll be successful," he said.

"It's a big derby, probably the biggest for many years. Swansea have a good side and they're on a good run, but we're at home, we're top of the league.

"We maybe have a better side than the last couple of years. It's a six-pointer game but we want to get the three points."

Cardiff have proved they have a potent strike force with the likes of Jay Bothroyd, Michael Chopra, Craig Bellamy up front, scoring 15 goals in the last five wins.

They will come up against a tough Swansea defence though who have not conceded a goal in their last five league games.

But they will have to do without 12-goal top scorer Bothroyd who picked up his fifth booking of the season in the win over Norwich City.

"It's a big loss because he's the top scorer and he's a really important player for us, but we can't do anything about it," said Hungarian defender Gyepes.

"The next player to come in I think will be Andy Keogh, I think he will play and I think he can do the job."

But Gyepes is just happy to be playing himself after enduring a frustrating campaign last season.

"That's football, you never know what will happen," he added. "I'm really happy to be in the team, playing football and I'll do my best to make sure it stays that way."
