Whalley commits to Cardiff
Cardiff City midfielder Gareth Whalley
I want to be part of what is happening here
Gareth Whalley
Bluebirds midfielder Gareth Whalley has confirmed he will stay at Ninian Park in the wake of a cash-bonus row.

He was left out of Cardiff's last three games when he needed just one appearance to secure a 50,000 bonus.

City manager Lennie Lawrence confessed afterwards that the player may find his position at the club untenable, but Whalley has chosen to stay.

"I have thought long and hard about my future and I want to play for Cardiff City," said Whalley.

"I enjoy playing for this club and I want to be part of what is happening here."
