Taylor eyes non-league striker
Cambridge manager John Taylor is targeting winger Alex Rhodes from non-league Newmarket Town.

The 21-year-old Rhodes has caught the eye of several Nationwide clubs, including Norwich and Yeovil, after scoring three successive hat-tricks.

Taylor said: "He has been to Yeovil and scored a couple of goals in their reserves and I am waiting for a chance to have him in.

"By all accounts they have already had a bid from a Second Division club."

He added: "The ones we've asked about are on the fringe of first team at other clubs and it's very difficult to bring anyone in who you think can improve what we've got."
