Burton Albion new boy Nathan Stanton says he is relishing the chance of playing alongside veteran centre-half Darren Moore next season.

Stanton, 29, has joined on a two-year contract and Moore, 36, moved to the Pirelli Stadium earlier in the summer.

"I look forward to working with him. He has vast experience and you're never too old to learn new tricks." Stanton told BBC Radio Derby.

"I've followed his career. He's getting on a bit but he's got a lot to offer."

Stanton, who played a key role in helping Rochdale win promotion from League Two last season, said he had no hesitation in joining the Brewers.

"The manager impressed me a lot and obviously the facilities are second to none so that was a major factor," he said.

"I was looking for a two-year contract and they couldn't offer me that so I wanted a new challenge anyway. It's a bit closer to home so here I am. I'm delighted to be here."
