Burnley have signed midfielder Dean Marney from Hull City for an undisclosed fee, thought to be in the region of £500,000.
The 26-year-old has agreed a three-year deal at Turf Moor and is Clarets boss Brian Laws's first summer signing.
Laws said: "Midfielder is an area we wanted to strengthen and for a young age he has a lot of experience."
Marney, who scored nine times in 138 appearances during four years at Hull, will officially join Burnley on 1 July.
He started his career at Tottenham and enjoyed loan spells with Swindon, QPR, Gillingham and Norwich before joining the Tigers.
Laws added: "Dean has played for two years in the Premier League so he knows what is required.
"He is a box-to-box player, full of energy, and his link play with the midfield and forwards is exceptional.
"His pedigree, coming from Tottenham, shows that he can play and he will be a great addition to the squad."
