Bristol Rovers have completed the signing of midfielder Jean-Paul Kalala from Yeovil on a free transfer.
The 28-year-old has joined on a permanent contract until 30 June.
Rovers boss Dave Penney told the club website: "We have been looking for a combative midfielder with a bit of experience, and JP fits that bill."
Kalala joined shortly after it was announced that Rovers had extended David McCracken's loan from Brentford until the end of the season.
The 29-year-old centre-half joined the Pirates earlier this month and has so far started three games.
Penney added: "Dave has shown his qualities in the three games he has played for us.
"His leadership and communication skills will be an asset to us and I am delighted that he will be with us until the end of the season."
