Matthews may stay at Rovers
Lee Matthews
Matthews is out-of-favour at Bristol City
Striker Lee Matthews has hinted that he could turn his loan spell at Bristol Rovers into a permanent move.

Matthews, 24, has impressed since joining the club from rivals Bristol City last month.

"I won't hide the fact I'd love to play in the Second Division again, because I've played there for City and feel I could do a job at that level," he said.

"But I've really enjoyed my time here. I'd seriously think about it if Rovers offered me the chance to stay here."

Matthews has struggled with injuries and is out-of-favour at City, where he is unlikely to be offered a new deal when his contract expires at the end of the season.

"After all my injury problems, I'm starting to feel strong again," Matthews told Rovers' website.
