Thomson ready for family battle

Thomson's wife's sister is engaged to Michael Timlin

Brighton midfielder Steve Thomson will find himself facing future brother-in-law Michael Timlin as the Seagulls face Swindon on Saturday.

Fulham's Timlin recently started a second loan spell with the Robins and he has never faced Thomson in a competitive match.

"He was down on Thursday and we were giving each other some banter," Thomson told BBC Southern Counties Radio.

"Hopefully it'll be good on the pitch. It'll be good to close him down!"
