Brentford have re-signed veteran striker Nicky Forster for his second spell at the club.

The 36-year-old played for the Bees from 1994 to 1997, scoring 47 goals in 136 appearances.

Forster told the club website: "I'm delighted to be coming back. The club holds many happy memories for me."

"Both the club and I have moved on over the years but I still have the hunger and the mobility to give a good account of myself."

Boss Andy Scott added: "His goalscoring is a major attraction as that is an area where we have struggled to compete with other teams.

"His ambitions match those of the management team. He is a very dedicated footballer who will add experience, competition and, more importantly, goals to the team."

Forster has also played for Brighton, Reading, Ipswich, Hull and Charlton, and has made 694 first-team appearances to date.
